Bilbergia nutans flowers

This exotic looking bromeliad, also  known as the friendship plant, is extremely easy to grow, and is very forgiving if neglected.
Yesterday I discovered it had produced these lovely, nodding (nutans) flowers. 
The only tricky part was getting the photo the right way up. I couldn't upload a portrait image  correctly and had to resort to a shot in landscape in order to get the  stem vertical, rather than  horizontal.
