Forest Bathing
The forecast had been for light cloud and very cold. I decided an early run could be unwise on slippery ground but by 9 the unexpected sunshine was beckoning me out. It was the shortest loop, and my slowest walk ever round Northcliffe just enjoying the morning sunlight, the bird song and a woodpecker way up in the branches.
By the time I got home an hour later my fingers and toes were colder than after yesterday's dip!
Hot coffee soon got the feeling in them and then I was back in my winter woolies ready for a second walk around the woods with A. By then the cloud had started to come across and the temperature lifted, so with a much quick walk up the hill, in the end I was too warm!
C and I had our first pool trip together since before the first lockdown where she was practicing starts and turns, then home for lunch, a few jobs, zoom game with family, tea and a movie.
