Takes Me to the Clouds Above, Ahuh!

24. Cloud: Take a photo of a cloud today {let's hope the weather plays nice today!}

I waited all day for a cloud. I got a white fluffy one early on in the day, but there wasn't anything really inspiring about it. Himself was out being creative again today. He astounds me; there really isn't anything he won't give a shot at - well then again, dancing actually, he won't practise waltzing with me, no matter how much I beg.

Today, he removed half the shed wall, and replaced them all with new planks, and then painted it, and restored the cat flap. I sat around and watched in awe of his greatness, and then felt a little inspired to add a bit of effort and so I chopped the lavender plants at the front door.

I decided best chance of a good cloud would be sunset, and I wasn't wrong; I persuaded Himself to accompany me to the town as the sun started slipping away, and bounced out of the car at the beach. I said "I'll be a minute", and then scrambled over the grassy dunes and onto the sand.

The sunset was quite something to behold. The sea was flat calm. So flat calm I could see the buoys marking the lobster pots, and there wasn't a ripple around them.

I decided I needed more than a minute to absorb this loveliness and I plonked myself down on a grassy bank. It is so awesome to sit and watch this - there were only 4 or 5 other people anywhere near me, and it astounds me that there isn't a multitude of people gathered on the beach of an evening just to stand and gaze.

I suppose we take it for granted, because it's there in front of us every evening. When I turned round, the sky behind me was already darkening, to a beautiful deep blue. And there mid sky was the clearest whitest moon, like a button hanging in the sky.

Seeing the sun set and the moon rise so clearly gets me thinking about the universe and the whys. I can't think on it too long, my head might explode.
