Post-crayfish lunch
There’s a definite upside to China banning all Southern Rock Lobster (aka crayfish) imports from Australia - locals can buy it at half the usual price! 90% used to go to China, now it all goes to the local market. Only a tosser would buy himself a fresh, whole crayfish, lovingly arrange it on a plate with some home-grown limes, next to a home-made sourdough baguette and a glass of crisp Clare Valley Riesling, then upload photos of it to taunt fellow blippers. So here’s a pic of the aftermath instead. It might look ugly and messy, but trust me on this: it made for a very tasty lunch, bordering on magnificent!
