First Swim

Back in early Autumn last year, I started to do some open water swimming with a group of friends... The indoor pool that I use for training was back open but there is something totally different about swimming outside.

As the weeks passed, phrases like "I've never swam in October before" quickly turned into November and then December....

And today we managed our first open water swim of 2021.

We did try heading to our usual venue (Threipmuir Reservoir) yesterday, but it was totally frozen over... We figured that the sea would be OK... and we were right.

Just got to work out the tides now!! :-)
