High Ewebank

The road down to the tiny North Pennines hamlet of High Ewebank. Back in the 18th century some 80 or so folk lived here when it was a staging post on an important packhorse route. But the new turnpike road bypassed it and the settlement, with its three inns, was more or less abandoned.
