Reward

This morning was such a contrast from yesterday! Damp and grey, when I took Django out to think through a work situation, I was rewarded by a short snow shower then, after wandering our on the well-frozen Low Pond with Django [see extra], light rain. This, on sheet ice, made for most unpleasant walking!

Mid-afternoon, the sunny corner of the sky that I could see from the attic inspired me to take Django out again. I was soon at Uttershill Castle - which offers the best west-facing views in Penicuik - but standing in the rain overlooking a diminishing area of brightness. Then, within 15 minutes, the sky cleared, with just a few clouds in the south-west for the setting sun to colour.
