killelan church...

remains of an abbey founded by the Knights Hospitallers in the early part of the 13th century..among other gravestones there is a 13th century granite graveslab with a latin cross carved on it. I like how somehow the sun this evening illuminated the interior...as you can see the county council chain sawed the thick roots of the ivy last year..I don't know how they propose getting rid of it...precarious I would say...I live half a mile from it...
