The Mrs C
Trying to spend the day at the laptop cleaning up two months of photos. I have been doing really well doing it mostly monthly but for some reason I have part of October, November and December to find my keepers and the delete the rest. Time consuming!
I am really exasperated too as I am having a problem with my iphone photos. I had set up my iphone to link automatically with my laptop by sending those photos to the Icloud where they would download to the laptop and move to a special folder for iphone photos. Automatically without any help from me. Sometime in November it stopped working and I would not get my current photos. I think there was some kind of "update" either with Windows 10 (most probably!) or with Icloud/Iphone. I worked with it by uninstalling Icloud for Windows 10 and reinstalling but the process makes a file of photos which are in HEIC mode with does not compute with anything. I had to manually download them ONE AT A TIME in order to make them be a jpeg. This was really annoying. I tried some other things too but I finally just turned it all off again. I am going to clean up what I have so far this year and then connect my phone to the laptop and download the photos that I don't have. A pain in the you know what!
In addition to that problem, the Windows photo editor does not download the photos from the camera into a dated folder like it used to do. I have to set up a folder first and then select that folder. If I forget to make a folder it puts the photos at the end of the main Pictures folder..where I still have to make a folder and drag them to the folder. Another pain in the butt!
If anyone has this same problem and found a solution, please let me know.
Not the best photo of Mrs. C because of the lighting and shooting out the window but at least the sunshine is happening today after so many days of fog and rain. Already making plans for a hike in the mountains along a river tomorrow.
