Pinus pinea

Pinus pinea is a latin word and it means stone pine.

I´ve got this stone pines cone as a christmas present. I´ve put it in a warm place and it started to open. Eatable seeds are inside a hard brown crust that need to be broken before you can eat theme. Stone pine seeds are not a fast food.
