Waiting for Guests
You can see some of the knobs from yesterday in place; first thing Mike did this morning was screw them in place, after drying them a bit more by the fire he'd lit.
Grapefruit and croissants with the orange and ginger marmalade I made, then off to church in the cold and sunshine, past the rafeiro guarding her lambs, then the castle. Padre António back in action and looking slimmer after his serious bout with Covid, announced there would be no procession with Our Lady of Light this year - probably the first time in hundreds of years.
Managed to make a meal with things we had in the house... the starter was prawns fried in garlic on toasts spread with cream cheese, on a bed of rocket, and garnished with strips of red pepper, fried in the same pan as the prawns.
Gratefuls:
- lovely relaxed lunch with C&E, our permitted friends/family at the moment
- being able to go to church again, and at least see people
- livestream from our church in England, with Deb and Donald, and some good music
