Move, Bridge, Get Out The Way!
Get out the way, bridge, get out the way...
N.B. Yes, those are snow splodges on the lens.... It was snowing pretty hard.
Ah, Newcastle. It's been 2 years since I was here, and the city is just as awesome as I remembered it. 2 years ago breakdance was here representing at Uni Champs, the inter-uni breakdancing competition, and I was back again this year, as part of the crew.
It was long old drive, all the way from Uni to Newcastle and when we got there all I really wanted to do was curl up in bed and sleep, so needless to say we headed into town to grab a bite to eat and then hit the clubs. Driving the minibus was fun, and everyone appreciated it which was nice, but I won't be repeating the saga too soon, hopefully.
I woke up early (8am) to walk into the centre of town and grab a few street shots before Uni Champs started at midday, and this is the result. It's Newcastle's Millenium Bridge in the snow.... Why is it awesome? It's because it tilts! Oh yeah, it was ridiculously cold because we had full-on "this is basically a blizzard" style snow. It made the city look real pretty.
On to Uni Champs and we were the first crew to be called up to battle, dancing against Newcastle's Crew, Battalion. They went on to win the crew battles, so when we lost to them, it wasn't really a surprise.
After 8 hours of dance we celebrated drowned our sorrows by another night out on the town, in a club called Tup Tup.
TLDR: Newcastle is awesome; it was fun to be back; we got completely smoked in the breakdance competition...

With this picture (captured using the 10-20mm I was attempting to keep things simple, and fill the frame. The sky was a nasty mass of grey-white and what with the bridge being the same colour it wasn't very interesting in colour.
