mono monday

The second thing that struck me about Picturemull's suggestion for her Mono Monday challenge, were the shapes in her original image.  The first was her response to DDW's original challenge based on the word 'Exiguous' - a big word for 'tiny'.

I've noticed, as I've become more familiar with the town, a range of building styles - old, new and everything in between.  The curves in the roof-line of this building (a shopping arcade) and some of the houses in the street in which it's located, remind me of Dutch or Hanseatic architecture.  

No idea what inspired the design of this building; I guess I'll find out eventually.
