Heidi

I have finished my library books, and many from my own bookshelves too. Delving deeper into my bookshelves I discovered a childhood volume of the classic story, Heidi. I am reading it with interest, and not remembering it at all. My edition must be from the 1950s, judging by the style of the drawings. The book was originally published in Switzerland in the 1880s and there have been many translations and many films made of the story.
A damp gloomy day, definitely a day for curling up with a good book. As a youngster I was always happiest indoors reading, while my mother tried to persuade me to go out and get some fresh air. I haven’t changed!
