Where did the years go

Twenty nine years ago, I was recently retired and had never been out of Britain. As we both liked walking, Redilady suggested that we went somewhere a little more adventurous than Devon, how about the Himalayas.
Many enjoyable walking holidays followed. Now we have memories, some photos and odds and ends. My old rucksack had badges from around the world, some have fallen off but one of the originals is still, like me, hanging on.
