Life from city to village

Quiet Streets

I had an appointment for an eye test this morning. All was good. I took this on my way through the city centre - I'm really not used to it looking this quiet. The shops were open, but people weren't really shopping.

This is how 'time flies' - or rather time seems to fly while we, like the two in the foreground, are largely stopped, waiting for vaccines. It seems as if the world is holding its breath, the odd person being the odd molecule of oxygen or CO2 seeping out around the streets, while the rest stay holed up in our collective lungs.
