Bygones

Wandered along the Newark on Trent towpath today with its five million ghosts. Across from this bridge are the castle ruins, never recovered from the ransacking by the Roundheads.

The Trent here has seen incredible trade over the years, using water to transport, not roads.

I wonder, what of our old ways will return post Covid?
