Edwardian

This fine old kitchen cupboard, the top half of a pine dresser, has been in our house since it was built well over 100 years ago, in Edwardian times. It is shown on the original architect's plans for the house.
When we first moved here, it had countless layers of paint, a blue Formica work surface, and ugly sliding smoked glass upper doors. Happily we found the original doors in the chicken shed at the bottom of the garden, and they were used in the dresser's restoration way back in the 1980s.
Now it needs some fresh attention, and non-original trim, added as decoration to match other kitchen furniture, has just been removed from the doors.
Looking forward to seeing it restored soon to its original unadorned Edwardian elegance.
