The homemade present showcase continues

This soap dish was given to us by James’s brother in law who painted it himself.

I’m defrosting the chicken I don’t need to defrost because there is some unfrozen stuff in the fridge I didn’t spot, and deciding whether I can be bothered to watch the 8pm announcement. Might take the decs down while watching. After all, nothing says January more than taking down your tree while watching an announcement that you are now to be locked in your home.

On the other hand it just takes so long to find out the crucial info that I’m probably better checking later when it’s all over and someone has written a neat little summary.

There are some hilarious drinking games for watching it circulating online. One has you drinking a finger for each minute Boris is late. Safe to say anyone who attempts that will be needing a swift trip to A&E — probably before it’s actually started. Drinking on “next slide please” sees you in a similar predicament. Who knows though — maybe they’ll surprise us by getting a slide clicker? Stranger things have happened. James has suggested a shot of whiskey for every time he uses the word “alas”.
