Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2021 Sunday — Sunset

I didn’t sleep well last night. I received a text from a friend right before going to bed that was telling me that a friend, Joy Frank, in Arizona has Covid19. I knew nothing about this, so it was startling. I tossed and turned all night and had bad dreams, and then this morning Mr. Fun was up and out of bed a couple hours before me (which isn’t all that unusual).

Once I was fully awake, a couple cups of coffee helped fuel my engine. I put together what I refer to as a “ European” breakfast — hard boiled eggs, Swiss cheese, summer sausage, and green olives; I guess I could have made toast, but honestly I didn’t think about it. I honestly don’t have a clue whether or not this resembles anything that is served in Europe, but it does resemble the breakfast we were served in Russia when we cruised on a river boat as we traveled on the Volga River. Basically, it’s just an easy meal to prepare especially if the eggs are already boiled.

This afternoon we left the house and drove to Morro Bay and found ourselves in fog and I suggested that we drive to the community of Los Osos because we’ve been told that often it’s sunny there when it’s foggy in Morro Bay. We found a thick layer of clouds above us, but no fog. As we looked north across the back bay, we could see the sun shining on Morro Rock and on the 3 stacks of the power plant, so we headed back to Tidelands Park. Once we arrived there the pups were more than anxious to get out of the car to do some walking. The sun had just dropped behind the cloud bank, so oh well, no setting sun photos today.

Then we drove back to our house and realized we were going to get to watch as the sun dropped below the cloud bank. It was quite spectacular.

Rosie (& Mr. Fun ), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
