Icy Walk

CyclopsJnr and Cyclops had a very icy walk around Harlaw and Threipmuir this morning.  We did a lot of walking off the side of the path on the snow, rather than on paths where the snow had been compressed, then saturated, then frozen again forming sheet ice.  We were very glad of walking poles to help keep us upright when we couldn't avoid the icy bits...  CyclopsJnr did get distracted a few times and start using his pole to poke things, and also fell on his bum a few times.  There seemed to be some correlation between these occurrences.

We arrived just after a rain shower, and left just as a hail shower came over - so we got the best of the weather!

We enjoyed hot bacon rolls for lunch when we got home, followed by some Lego building, a marathon air hockey session, and some reading books received as Christmas gifts.
