2021-01-04 (Day 004) Christmas Lights

I often go past these houses when taking Tess for a walk, and never fail to admire their Christmas lights.  I've tried to take pictures of them before, too, and have never really managed an image that I liked.  Turns out that I had been waiting for "Night Mode" to appear on my phone, because it does a cracking job.

I have noticed that I am increasingly not carrying a "real camera" around with me when I go anywhere; the quality of phone cameras is becoming so good that it hardly seems worth it.  But then I take a picture with the large SLR and it is such a satisfying feeling... phone cameras just haven't matched that yet!
