This is a message affixed to our park gates. Bill is our neighbour, Thorn is his faithful black working cocker and this painting is about an accurate image of them both as you will get without a camera.

Two years ago, Bill spent almost two months in hospital and we started to walk Thorn every day. We've walked her daily, more or less, ever since as we're going anyway with Tommy. She's the most amazing dog.
