Grausam
Gruesome this grey weather and then try to photograph a grey horse. Sure we made the 51st shade of grey. Photographing a horse in the best of conditions is difficult. Why is a white horse called a grey? I guess better than the German word "Schimmel" which means mould/mildew!
Sultan, the grey, bears no resemblance to his noble Arabian origins but more like a cross between a teddy bear & a certain Prime Minister. Our Welsh Charlie has only one interest - food. One says that around -10°C, horses need considerable more food to produce energy/heat. She starts storing the stuff at +20°C. Forget how many months she has now been with us (7?). She's no problem at all, but one simple can't get to build a relationship with her - she's always at a distance. I guess 20 years of being a foaling machine has made her that way. Who can blame her?
Freezing evening walk with RealFeel taking -2°C down to -7°C and a nasty breeze. And I forgot gloves. No alternative but two sauna sessions.
