Rex
I took this through the glass storm door this morning while the red and a bigger gray were sharing peanuts tossed out to them. It was dark and dismal, a good day to stay inside. I'd already been out to check the feeders and it felt like rain any minute.
Notice the two white lines on Rex's mid front legs. I didn't see them when I took a series of shots. When I first looked at the photos I was puzzled, it wasn't a long exposure, so they couldn't be raindrops. They must be arm hairs, arm whiskers? I can see others I think in the background. I've never noticed these on any of the many red squirrel photographs I've taken over the last 10 plus years of blipping, but they are in every photo I took today. They'll help me recognize this bold and brazen little red dervish next time I see a red raiding the feeders. That will probably be tomorrow.
For the record,
This day came in dark with misty rain and an occasional snowflake this morning.
All hands wary
