LD 288 White all around...
Not, in the words of the carol, anything "deep and crisp and even" , but a very heavy frost again which has been the norm for more than a week.
It is, in a sense, very Christmassy but it comes just as we all think about taking down our trees at Twelfth Night, which is tomorrow . That is why I thought I would blip the contrast that I saw this morning before it goes, one way or the other.
We have only had the tree up since the weekend before Christmas, which is our norm, but this year people were keen to assert something positive and as soon as Halloween was over I started to see them appear. Let's hope that our next Christmas is so much better starred that we feel no such need - a wish made more intense by the events of the last 24 hours.
