Day 288 A last look II

Today is the turn of the tree in the living room, the tree that faces the street.  I've removed all the decorations from yesterday's tree and started to pack them away.  I expect that it will be Wednesday before we get round to this one.  Mr MC removed some but not all of the outside lights: when the days are so dark, both literally and figuratively, we are tempted to leave some up to bring light and cheer.

In other news: the Prime Minister addressed the nation yet again this evening and it was no surprise that he announced that a further lockdown is to be brought in, in England with immediate effect.  Primary and secondary schools must close until February half term, although, curiously, nurseries can remain open.  I think that we can assume that our planned family trip to the Isle of Wight in February will be cancelled then.
