Hair ice
Loads of this cool whispy ice around in the beech wood along the river.
It needs humid nights just below freezing and a fungus called Exidiopsis effusa.
The fungus makes it freeze in the hair shape. Without it the ice still forms but in a more typical crust/crystaly form.
Its delicate stuff, when you touch it it just melts away.
