Tuesday: Heart on a Tree

Bitterly cold wind all day but I ventured down to the compost bins and had a look at all the plants growing around the garden.
My very untidy pruning of a damson tree caught my eye, the layers of bark around the cut is very attractive and almost sculptural.
Fed the birds a couple of times and filled an old net bag with peanuts it’s not easy for the birds to get at the nuts in the metal feeder and they need all the calories they can get to survive this cold spell.
Started selecting seed from the Seed Swap List ... something to look forward to ...
