Fun !

When we were kids and teenagers (a looong time ago) it was 'normal' to hop on the back of the ute (pickup) to go to the beach, to town, on a picnic or up the river.

We'd grab the tyre tubes or picnic hamper and load everything onto the back then hop on and Dad/Mum would drive us to wherever they'd chosen to swim or picnic - or do anything else that required a tribe of kids/teenagers.

We even did a certain amount of that with our kids.  But It struck my sister recently that our grandchildren hadn't had those experiences.  Health and Safety being such a focus nowadays things like that are considered too risky.

Today my sister, and her youngest grandchildren hopped on the back of her truck and were driven (slowly - yeah, yeah, health and safety considered) around the back paddock.

The grins on their faces!!  What a picture.
