.......grass.

Everything  is dry. It's hot. The east wind (from the desert) has been blowing for days without a break. There are three serious fires in the south west of the state. Summer. 

My extra is of a huge buck roo who showed absolutely no fear as he came in to drink from the bird bath and munch on the lawn grass. We shooed him, clapped, waved our arms in the air (to look bigger) - all from the safety of the deck mind you! But he just looked at us and continued munching. He was a big boy!
