The circus has departed !

This is a collage of two shots taken (Jan 2020) of Princes Street Gardens after the Big Wheel, fairground, ice rink and 'German' market have been removed. Increasingly Edinburgh residents are annoyed at the commercialisation of Christmas in the city centre and public space abused for commercial gain. As this is a backdated post I can comment that there was much relief among many that for Xmas/NewYear 2000/21 the commercial exploitation was abandoned and the people had their public spaces back.  It's all about considering what can be regarded as 'sustainable'.
