Lion
It has been so so cold today - never above freezing. However as we have been given "rest and recuperation" days again due to the lockdown, I took the opportunity for a longer walk in the afternoon. While we waited for the optician to replace the lens in C's glasses, we headed up to Peel Park and then along the canal.
This is the detail of another town drinking fountain. This was one gifted to the town in the same year (1905) by one of the founders of the Lion Foundry (famous for among other things, red telephone boxes).
l liked the slightly distressed look - such a pity that the paint has been allowed to run when it was last renovated.
