Sunset snowy stubble ....

Another winter day. Another dusting of snow since last night.
The scan man came to do the X ewes here.
417 with twins,92 singles,98 triplets and 35 empty. The plan in an ideal world is for every ewe to rear two lambs,as that’s how many teats they have .Never going to happen, but by knowing which ones are expecting a single we can then hopefully try and twin on an extra lamb from one with triplets.
A trip to Macmerry to get some hydraulic hoses repaired at lunchtime. A different world down there , Black roads and no snow, unlike up with us.
A walk with the dogs and Littlemiss tonight was certainly crunchy underfoot. It’s going to be a keen frost tonight. No doubt tomorrow will be another 2 kettle day defrosting water troughs . Ho hum.
