dear god...

...a prayer

for peace

my country is in chaos - because of a bully - due to one man - unable to accept the results - of an election - and the voice - of a people making their - choice heard - and on a day - when a procedure should - have been nothing more - than a formal process - of democracy and protocols - this man made a decision - to lash out in anger - to incite a mob - of people into what became - an unbelievable act of inscrutable behavior

i would pray over the white house - that you would - restore it to a place - of peace and unity - give courage and resilience to those - who’s lives have been - disrupted inside who are members - of the house and senate - that they might be able - to continue their work regardless - of the disruption - showing the country as - well as the world that we - continue to be a united states - one nation under god - just as our founding fathers - initially intended us to be - that a whole nation would - not be able to be - brought down by one man - or several, by a handful - of untruths on an ongoing basis

so it would be - a fairly simple prayer abba - that i ask - at the very core - is just for peace overall - and comfort for a country hurting - which needs to heal so it can experience...
