As predicted, flooding

Finally the rain relented more than 60 hours after it started. The skies cleared and we were heartened by lovely late morning and afternoon sunshine.

Thank you for your expressions of sympathy following yesterday’s journal entry. Us cousins have done well so far. Children of my mother and her siblings there were 12 of us, we’re now 10 with ages ranging from the Baby (my brother) at 62 and the eldest who is 82. We remain close even though we’re not physically in the same location. As a youngster there were always family parties with uncles and aunties which I still fondly remember.

All the decorations came down today and were packed away in the loft. As we were doing so we were wondering if next Christmas they would be going up in a new home. Doreen knows we’re moving and said to Susan that she’d like to come too!
