A visit to Cambo Snowdrops

Yes... I know it's not a snowdrop. Today we went to Cambo House at Kingsbarns, Fife to see the snowdrops and wander through the gardens and woods.

This small bulb caught my eye. I've no idea what it is, but I loved the exotic nature of it and the colours.

Our wanderings were perfectly timed as the sleet and snow arrived just as we were heading back to the car, and we could see snow on the Sidlaw hills to the north, and the Lammermuirs across the Forth. By the time we'd made some soup it was sunny enough again to head down to the beach at Roome Bay. Glorious day.
