Frosty lichen

I went out first thing as it was frosty, the hardest frost that we have had this winter. I took several shots but this lichen on an apple tree appealed to me.

Before we collected our Click and Collect order from Tesco's, we went for a walk along New Brighton beach. The tide was right out but the edge of the sea had frozen at the turn of the tide in the early hours of the morning. The man on the left in the distance is collecting cockles in a yellow bucket.
