Wild Horses of Alberta

Yesterday we drove North-west to Sundre, Alberta in search of wild horses. We were just about to give up when we saw what we thought was a moose on the road. Horses! Nine wild horses foraging for grass in the snow on the side of the road. There were 9 of them. One stallion and the rest mares, mostly pregnant, and some yearlings who were still nursing. It was an amazing experience. I’d like to go back in the spring to see all the colts and fillies!
