River Anker

The River Anker accompanies us for the first few fields of our walks from home. It rises near Nuneaton and merges with the Tame in Tamworth. The fields today were grazed by flocks of Canada geese and mute swans, farm stock being absent. The cthickets  of blackthorn, now white with frost, will soon be white with Snow White blossom. Spring cometh!
