Hoar Frost*

Freezing fog all day . I went up to higher ground half hoping the sun would have broken through and lit up the frost,  it hadn’t quite, but it was a lot brighter up in the fields. The hoar frost was spectacular. I haven’t seen it like that for several winters. This barbed wire where the beasts rub up against the fence has strands of hair clinging to it, coated with ice crystals.
