Long Tailed Tit #6
Lockdown 3.0 Day #3
The service yesterday wasn’t as bad as we thought it was going to be - just a repair to a slow puncture that we knew we had, as every 3-4 weeks we kept getting the alert and had to put air in. We actually thought it was a faulty valve.
This morning we woke up to a cold frost and decided upon a walk at Spike Island to try and see the kingfisher that seems to have made its home in the lock according to Facebook. There have been a lot of shots of it, but we have not seen it there yet, and today was no different!
So, instead of a kingfisher as my blip, we have a very obliging long tailed tit who landed very close to us as we crossed the marsh. I thought it looked OK against the blue sky.
After lunch I took a look at the weather for tomorrow and saw that there was heavy snow forecast for most of tomorrow. Friday is our main shopping day and we didn’t fancy going out in the snow nor at the weekend so we brought it forward to this afternoon. It wasn’t the most successful of trips as we ended up having to go to Asda as well as the availability of fresh produce was shocking at Sainsbury’s. We won’t be shopping in the afternoon again in a hurry.....
