Another bit of organising

We had a rather disorganised and over full "overflow" cutlery tray in one of the kitchen cupboards.  It has things like the fish knives and forks (could be used more often), the steak knives and forks - never used these days, but maybe sometime in the future, soup spoons (could be used more often), extra desert spoons, extra teaspoons, and last but by no means least, some rather nice cake forks that we used recently when munching Christmas cake, and which were the stimulus for this sort out.  They are silver, and rather tarnished, so need a polish, as do the fish knives and forks, but I didn't see any point in doing that unless I was then going to protect them in some way.

So we found a little set of wooden drawers on eBay that fitted the space in the cupboard, and adapted it.  W has fitted some spacers, and today we glued green baize into it.

I may make some cutlery rolls for the silverware, to protect them further (like the ones I made for our posh silver cutlery, which is rarely used, and not been out at all in the last 12 months) but I think in the first instance I will polish it and see how quickly it tarnishes.
