Perfect Precipitation

We have rain forecast for the next 4 days, so when Danny got home from teaching we got dressed appropriately and headed to a lovely beach up north. Danny had money to use in Decathlon, which worked perfectly as both kids had outgrown their wellies by about 2 shoe sizes! So new wellies on and lots of splashing in puddles and the waves. We were the only people on the beach. A wonderful hour or 2, lots of laughter and eventually very wet but happy kids. 
Home for hot showers and a movie, and a friend and her daughter over for a cup of tea and catch up.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Rain - so much fun when you're dressed for it!
2) A last few Christmas holiday days with the kids.
3) A lovely long catch up with Joha.
