I walked

the length and breadth of the village. In Dutch I would say: the village around, which sounds just as strange in Dutch as in English.
It's only 5 km. I skipped a small section because between that and the rest of the village is a deep sunken road, that only pedestrians can cross on a narrow path, at the end of that road, where it is a bit higher again. Not a pleasant path in the dark.
