Present Nostalgia

Today's image is of the angel on top of our Christmas tree. She has been in our family for over 40 years and has only recently had an upgrade to a new outfit.
We took the tree down on Twelfth Night but have not yet put the decorations back up in the loft, so she was still sitting in the decorations box in our living room looking somewhat forlorn. I really love Christmas and am already missing it - hence the title of this image (although there is some partial plagiarism involved - there is a Dua Lipa album called Future Nostalgia).
On a much more serious note I am still in shock and despair at the events that occurred in Washington yesterday. This shows what can happen when you spread division and hate in your country and proves why Trump was always unfit for high office. My only hope is that this year the world can turn towards hope, kindness and respect.
