Here We Go Again....
I can't quite believe we're now in Lockdown number 3, and having the same conversations as we did a whole ten months ago..... Nevertheless, it is what it is, so we have to make the best of it I suppose. Even if it is fast becoming an apocalyptic nightmare....
I didn't think we'd be in yet, or at least not me, but yesterday was a very long Teams meeting discussing our latest offer in terms of 'remote' learning....We're now in teams, and I'm in teaching our key worker children this week and next, and then we swap so I'll be at home doing the planning side. We were given all of 24 hours notice really. In terms of provision we're supposed to up our game, although I feel that remote learning is just that, 'remote'! It can work for adults, but am I really going to be hosting Zoom meetings for four-year-old's from next week?
I've also been trying to get my assignment done. It's fiddly, difficult, and I'm consumed with self-doubt. It doesn't have to be in until 11:59pm on Friday night, and I'll need all the time I can get. Oh, and I've had a tonsil ulcer (tonsillitis?) that's been so painful for over a week, so I've been grouchy and in pain.
Not to mention struggling to sleep and waking up all night thinking "I need to get up soon"- nope, it's 02:15am.....
School is a distraction, and although it's different once more, I love contact with (only a few) people/children. Let's just hope it doesn't backfire....
