A Spring-like Day

No rain today, and by this afternoon it was partly sunny and feeling very much like spring! 51F/11C at the high. I spent a bit of time poking around the garden which looks very wet from the recent rain but lush. The bulbs are popping up and camellias blooming. Although it's not unseasonably early, really, it is lovely to pretend that it's really March :-)

I have a meeting for the botanical garden shortly so an early post today. In 2013 we built a gorgeous basalt wall around a good portion of what was the front lawn...so I could have a larger garden of course. The wall is now really lovely, filling in with mosses and a lovely patina. Someday I'll take a photo, although it's rather long (113'). But today you can revel in this magical little sparkly landscape. Can't you just see the fairies flitting in the distance? 

Hope you are all doing ok today after yesterday's debacle. I barely slept. So grateful to you all for your lovely, supportive comments and stars and faves from yesterday's rose....and for our dear country.
