A sign of better things

I loved seeing the high priest of fake tan removed from his social media thrones. It seemed like maybe the world would be a very much better place if that decision had been taken sometime around 2014, but it is what it is.

But I see that Twitter have allowed him back already. Apparently the appropriate response to an attempt to overthrow democracy is 12 hours on the naughty step. There are certain words, especially popular in the UK, which can get you a swift 2 week ban if they are dropped into a tweet, so it’s good to see them maintaining a proper sense of what constitutes a proportionate response.

I did enjoy waking up to his unexpected statement today, with its distinct ‘hostage video’ vibe, where he condemned the rioting he incited and promised that the guilty would be punished.

We can all drink to that chief. Here’s hoping they can get the ringleader of that tragic circus, eh?
