Dancer

I think dancers are the most perfect athletes, combining strength with agility and grace. I love that woman's arms - just beautiful.

Had a chance to sit in on a lecture by Lula Washington on her contemporary dance theater company, which provides a creative outlet for minority dance artists in South Los Angeles. It does so through a school in the inner city, where young people can learn the art of dance, launch careers in dance, and where dance is used to motivate, educate and inspire. Lula and her troop perform worldwide and in a couple of weeks, I'll catch one of their shows too.

Lula is quite a character and very entertaining. Here's a claim to fame: her company was brought in to choreograph the movie Avatar! She had a few cute stories about that experience :)
